Megan Hawkins

Research Assistant (Biostatistics)

Megan is a biostatistician in the Infectious Diseases Biostatistics and Analytics group at the Doherty Institute. She provides statistical support to clinical and laboratory researchers across infection and immunity studies, with experience in clinical trials, observational studies, and immunological data analysis. Prior to completing her Master of Biostatistics at the University of Melbourne in 2025, Megan worked as a physiotherapist in public hospitals across Victoria, Queensland, and New Zealand. This diverse background informs her multidisciplinary approach: she is passionate about making statistical concepts accessible to collaborators and building bridges that facilitate effective communication between biostatisticians and the researchers they work with.
