Clinical trials are the cornerstone of medical and public health research. In this two-day course, the MISCH team and the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit from the Murdoch Children's Research Institute will provide an overview of the key issues in designing and planning a randomised trial. This includes discussion of cutting-edge designs and concepts in trials including the estimand framework.
The seminar series will comprise10 lectures and two practical skills workshops.

- Pilot and feasibility
- Alternative (fixed) trial designs
- Adaptive and platform trials

Course format
The course will be delivered by members of the Methods and Implementation Support for Clinical and Health (MISCH) research Hub at the University of Melbourne, and the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit (CEBU), Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and the University of Melbourne.

Course fees (classroom and online)
$350 for Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH)-affiliated people and students
$700 for external /non-MACH affiliated people
The course fee will include morning and afternoon tea. Lunch is not included.
